IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Consider First Reading of Ordinance No. 96 - An Ordinance of the Board of Directors of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District Revising the Definition and Regulation of Water Distribution Systems (TO BE CONTINUED TO OCTOBER 26, 2000 MEETING)
ACTION: At the August 21, 2000 meeting, the Board adopted a Negative Declaration for Ordinance No. 96 and directed that the ordinance be amended and brought back for first reading at the September 18, 2000 meeting. The public hearing was not held on September 18, but was continued to the September 28, 2000 Board meeting. The proposed ordinance would change existing District rules and regulations that define and govern creation and expansion of water distribution systems, including mobile water distribution systems.
V. ACTION ITEMSA. Approve Expenditure of Funds for Purchase of Alarm System at Sleepy Hollow Steelhead Rearing Facility
ACTION: The Board will consider the purchase of an alarm system for the Sleepy Hollow Steelhead Rearing Facility that could alert District staff of power outages at the facility that could threaten the survival of steelhead reared there. Public comment will be received on this item.
