SUMMARY: Attached as Exhibit C1-A is a proposal submitted by Director Henson regarding the District’s water permit process for residential remodels.

 

PAST BOARD/COMMITTEE ACTION: This item was reviewed by the District’s Policy Advisory Committee /Technical Advisory Committee (PAC/TAC) on June 1, 2001.  No formal action was taken by the committee. Minutes of the June 1, 2001, PAC/TAC meeting are attached as Exhibit C1-B.

 

RECOMMENDATION: Discuss the proposal, and, if necessary, provide direction to District staff on any future action to be taken.

 

IMPACT ON STAFF/RESOURCES: Should the Board decide to consider this proposal, District staff will develop a comprehensive review of its impact on overall staff, resources, and ongoing programs when presented to the Board’s committees and the full Board.  The Board should note that District staff is currently working on a strategic initiative that could include further consideration of this proposal.
