A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE

MONTEREY PENINSULA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT

AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE

SPECIAL DISTRICT RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

WORKERS’ COMPENSATION PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the Special District Risk Management Authority, a California Joint Powers Authority, provides its members with property, liability, workers’ compensation risk financing, and risk management programs: and

WHEREAS, the District has executed the Fourth Amended Joint Powers Agreement of the Special District Risk Management Authority and currently participates in the Property and Liability Program; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District desires to participate in the Workers’ Compensation Program offered by Special District Risk Management Authority

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

1. The Monterey Peninsula Water Management District Board of Directors authorizes the District to participate in the Special District Risk Management Authority (SDRMA) Worker’s Compensation Program, effective July 1, 2003; and

2. The Chair of the Board of Directors of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District is hereby severally authorized and empowered to execute this Resolution on behalf of the District, and to execute any and all other documents required for participation in Special District Risk Management Authority Workers’ Compensation Program and delivery of the executed Resolution to Special District Risk Management Authority.
