A Resolution of the Board of Directors of the

Monterey Peninsula Water Management District

Calling An Advisory Election Relating to

Water Supply Planning Issues

Affecting the Monterey Peninsula

Whereas, the Board of Directors of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District (hereafter, District) on July 21, 2003 did determine to seek advisory input from the District electorate.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District does hereby resolve as follows:

1. This Resolution shall serve as the Notice of Election, and as the Resolution for Submission of Advisory Measure to voters, as required by law.

2. The election shall be held in conjunction with the Monterey County election on November 11, 2003.

3. The ballot question(s) authorized by this Resolution shall have advisory, not binding, effect.

4. The ballot for the election shall contain the following ballot measure:

5. The ballot for the election shall further contain the following ballot measure:

[ballot text to be inserted here at direction of the board, if a second measure is to be put on the ballot; if not, this paragraph shall be deleted]

6. The ballot for the election shall further contain the following ballot measure:

7. The ballot for the election shall further contain the following ballot measure:

8. The ballot for the election shall further contain the following ballot measure:

9. The ballot for the election shall further contain the following ballot measure:

10. Only registered voters within the District shall be entitled to vote in this election, and will receive ballots with the above measure(s) included.

11. The hours the polls will be open, the designation of election precincts, the polling place within each precinct, the names of the elections officers and all other particulars of the election and canvassing of votes shall be as so designated by the Monterey County Registrar of Voters in accord with the California Elections Code.
