Resolution of the Board of Directors

of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District

In Support of the Nomination of Greg Zlotnick

to the Position of President of the

Association of California Water Agencies

for the 2004-2005 Term

WHEREAS, a nominating committee will convene in September 2003 to develop the slate of nominees for election to the positions of President and Vice President of the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) for the 2004-2005 term.

WHEREAS, Greg Zlotnick has served on the Santa Clara Valley Water District Board of Directors since 1996. He has extensive experience dealing with California water issues. He is Chair of the ACWA Water Management Committee, and has served on numerous regional and state-wide water related advisory panels and task forces in California.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Directors of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District supports the nomination of Greg Zlotnick to the position of ACWA President for the 2004-2005 term.
