SUMMARY: On March 14, 2003, General Manager Ernesto A. Avila submitted his resignation to the Board of Directors. At the May 19, 2003 meeting, the Board voted to contract with Shannon Executive Research (Shannon) to conduct the recruitment of a new General Manager. At the August 18, 2003 meeting, the Board approved a recruitment strategy for the position.

Kris Kristensen, Executive Recruiter for Shannon, will make a presentation at the September 15, 2003 Board meeting regarding the schedule, brochure, advertising budget, and other advertisement material for the General Manager recruitment. Draft advertisement and brochure materials will be submitted at the Board meeting.

RECOMMENDATION: Receive the report from Kris Kristensen and consider approval of the schedule, brochure, advertising budget, and advertisement materials for the General Manager recruitment.
