SUMMARY: The proposed Board meeting schedule for the
period of January 2005 through February 2006 is included as Exhibit 2-A. All meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:00
PM.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the meeting schedule and distribute it
to members of the public that have requested copies of Board meeting agendas, and
direct that the schedule be posted on the District’s web site.
BACKGROUND: According
to the proposed schedule, the Board will meet on the third Monday of every
month, except for the months of January and February when the regular meeting
date would conflict with the Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday and Presidents’
Day holidays, respectively. In
addition, the December meeting will be conducted the second Monday in December
to avoid any conflict with the Christmas holiday.
Four additional meeting
dates have been scheduled for Thursdays, ten days following the regular Monday
meetings in March, May, August and October.
These dates have been set aside for any special meetings the Board may
have reason to conduct. Also a 2005-06 preliminary budget work session is
proposed for January 19, 2005. The
Directors should calendar the supplemental meeting dates.
