SUMMARY: The District has been a member of the California Special Districts Association (CSDA) for many years and benefits from a variety of services offered by the Association. During 2004, the Association was instrumental in the development and passage of Proposition 1A, which restores property tax revenues to local agencies. The District has received an invoice in the amount of $2,483 for 2005 dues.
RECOMMENDATION: District staff recommends expenditure of budgeted funds in the amount of $2,483 for 2005 California Special District Association dues.
BACKGROUND: The District has been a member of the CSDA for
many years. As a member, the District
benefits from a variety of programs and services provided by the
Association. During 2004 CSDA heard the
needs of its members and took the lead on behalf of all special districts in
