SUMMARY:    The District’s current Strategic Plan contains several objectives aimed at fulfilling the Board’s three-year strategic goal of establishing respectful and effective relationships with the local water company, Seaside Basin Watermaster, and the land use jurisdictions within the District.  On November 30, 2006 District Public Outreach Committee members Knight, Edwards and Markey met with Steve Leonard of California American Water (CAW), and held an in-depth discussion to identify potential ways and means to further strengthen the working relationship and communication method between the District and the Company.  Committee members and Mr. Leonard discussed and concurred in several specific actions to recommend to the Board, which are summarized in the November 30 meeting minutes (Agenda Item 22, Exhibit 22-B).
