Total System
for Month: Total California American Water (CAW) system
production for June was 1,189 acre-feet (AF), 20 percent less than the
anticipated production of 1,483 AF, as shown on the accompanying table (Exhibit
24-A).
Total System,
Water Year to Date: Total system production for Water
Year (WY) 2009, through June 30, 2009, has been 9,108 AF.
Groundwater
Production: During June, 141 AF were produced from CAW
wells in the
Surface Water
Production: In June, no water was diverted through the
Carmel Valley Filter Plant (CVFP) from San Clemente Reservoir, equivalent to
the zero AF of production that was anticipated.
The total diversion through the CVFP for WY 2009 has been zero AF, or
zero percent of total system production. Average release to the
The anticipated river flow, storage and production values were developed
jointly by the District, CAW, and the California Department of Fish and Game in
consultation with the National Marine Fisheries Service. CAW and District staff are monitoring
reservoir storage, inflow and water quality, and will make additional changes
