A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF

THE MONTEREY PENINSULA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT

Amending Table 1: residential unit count values

WHEREAS District Rule 24.A.1.b. Residential Calculation of Water Use Capacity allows changes to Table 4: Ultra-Low Consumption Appliance Credits;

WHEREAS half-gallon per flush toilets are listed on Table 1 but are no longer available due to manufacturing problems, and;

WHEREAS production delays are not expected to be resolved for up to one year, and;

WHEREAS the manufacturer has no stock available to meet demand, and;

WHEREAS half-gallon per flush toilets are not Uniform Plumbing Code certified, and;

WHEREAS the District’s building inspectors will not approve installation of half-gallon per flush toilets without UPC certification.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District resolves that District Rule 24.A.1.b. Residential Calculation of Water Use Capacity, Table 1: Residential Fixture Unit Count Values shall be amended to delete Ultra-Low Flush Half Gallon-Per-Flush Toilets.
