Exhibit 23-A shows the
water supply status for the Monterey Peninsula Water Resources System (MPWRS)
as of May 1, 2012. This system includes the surface water
resources in the
Water Supply Status: As
shown, rainfall during April 2012 totaled
2.41 inches and brings
the cumulative rainfall total for WY 2012 to 13.83 inches, which is 67%
of the long-term average through April. Estimated unimpaired runoff during April 2012 totaled 5,469 acre-feet
(AF) and brings the cumulative runoff total for WY 2012 to 16,703 AF, which is 27% of
the long-term average through April. Usable storage, which includes surface and
groundwater, was 30,910 AF,
or 96% of the long-term average through
April. This storage equates to 82% of system capacity. In
addition, 470 adult steelhead were counted
in the fish ladder at San Clemente Dam for WY 2012 through April.
Production Compliance: Under
State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Cease and Desist Order No. 2009-0060,
California American Water (Cal-Am) is allowed to produce no more than 10,308 AF
of water from the
