SUMMARY: At its January 30, 2013 meeting the District Board approved the Agreement to Form the Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project (MPWSP) Governance Committee. The Groundwater Replenishment project “go/no go” decision receives “Category A” treatment under the MPWSP Governance Committee agreement meaning it is to be made by the public agency members, however the original language restricted the time at which the decision could be made to no sooner than the point at which design was 30% complete and no later than just before the award of construction. This proposed amendment will allow an earlier implementation date at the direction of the public agency partners.
RECOMMENDATION: District staff recommends Board adopt the proposed amendment to the Governance Committee Agreement.
