SUMMARY: The
Water Management District is a member of the Special District Risk Management
Authority (SDRMA) that is conducting an election for its Board of Directors. Attached as Exhibit 5-A is Resolution No.
2013-11 indicating that the Water Management District supports the election of
four persons to the SDRMA Board: Muril Clift, Mike
Schaefer, Jean Bracy and David Aranda. Chair Pendergrass and Vice Chair Lewis selected
these names from a list of seven candidates that were submitted by SDRMA for
consideration (see Exhibit 5-B).
The signed resolution must be forwarded to SDRMA by August 27, 2013.
RECOMMENDATION:
Chair Pendergrass and Vice Chair Lewis recommend adoption of Resolution
No. 2013-11 that expresses support for the election of Muril
Clift, Mike Schaefer, Jean Bracy and David Aranda to fill positions on the SDRMA Board of Directors.
