DISCUSSION:
With the approval of the Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project (MPWSP)
and the continued environmental work on Pure Water Monterey (PWM) expansion as
a back-up option, it is an opportune time to examine available supplies and
their ability to meet current and long-term demand. The Board Chair requested the General Manager
to review the available data and present an update to the Board. Exhibit 9-A
attached is an overview of historic and projected demand, as it relates to
planned water supply.
