SUMMARY: In response to a request from the Board of
Directors at its December 11, 2006 meeting, staff has obtained a copy of the
Campaign Finance Regulations recently adopted by the City of
RECOMMENDATION: District staff recommends that the Committee review
BACKGROUND: During discussion of Consent Calendar Item No.
3, Approve Amendments to Conflict of Interest Code for Monterey Peninsula Water
Management District, on the December 11, 2006 Board Agenda, Director Markey
requested that the District also consider adoption of campaign finance
reporting rules. It was suggested that
the District policy could be developed using the Campaign Finance Regulations
recently adopted by the City of
