SUMMARY: The District’s office building at 5 Harris Court, Building G is over eight years old and the exterior needs to be re-painted. District staff requested and received proposals to do the required work from three different firms as follows:

The lowest proposal received from McLaughlin Painting in the amount of $4,100 is attached as Exhibit 5-A. District staff has checked references and received very favorable responses. The Fiscal Year 2007-08 budget includes sufficient funding for this project.
RECOMMENDATION: District staff recommends acceptance of the proposal of McLaughlin Painting in the amount of $4,100 to paint the exterior of 5 Harris Court, Building G. The Administrative Committee reviewed this item at its May 13, 2008 meeting and voted __ to __ to recommend ______________.
BACKGROUND: The District moved into its new office building at 5 Harris Court, Building G in March of 2000. The building is now over eight years old and the exterior wood portion on the southwest side of the building is peeling badly, and the stucco and metal surfaces also need a fresh coat of paint.
