SUMMARY: At a previous Administrative Committee meeting, Director Lehman requested that the Carmel Area Wastewater District (CAWD)/Pebble Beach Community Services District (PBCSD) Wastewater Reclamation Project water rates used for the golf courses be brought to the Committee for review.

Currently, the golf courses are assessed the following rates:

Water charge $0.6979 per 10 cu. ft.

Service charge (charge based on meter size) $24.31 to $777.87

Seaside Basin charge (assessed based on meter size) $0.91 to $29.27

Coastal Water Project charge (15% of the water bill) 33% of the 15% bill

MPWMD surcharge (12.59% of the bill) 12.59% of the bill

Monterey County surcharge 1% of the bill

PUC surcharge 1.5% of the bill

A comparison of water consumption to cost per acre foot analysis is attached as Exhibit 11-A. The information presented in the attached exhibit compares the actual water consumption (in acre foot) to cost per acre foot. This information covers the period January 2011 to August 2012.
