SUMMARY: The
District contracts with Corporation Service Company (CSC) to record deed restrictions
electronically in house. MPWMD makes monthly deposits to CSC, and the recording
fees are deducted from MPWMD’s deposit account when a deed restriction is
recorded. Most of the recording fees are reimbursed by the permit applicant.
Staff is seeking approval of this fiscal year’s recording fee deposit account. The FY 2017-2018 budget was approved with $24,000 for this account.
RECOMMENDATION: The Administrative Committee should recommend
the Board approve the expenditure of $24,000.00 for recording fees.
