SUMMARY: The Political Reform Act requires every local government agency to review its Conflict of Interest Code biennially and amend the code as appropriate to ensure compliance with current State law. The District last updated its code on October 17, 2016 (Exhibit 6-B).
In September of this year, District Counsel reviewed the MPWMD Conflict of Interest Code and determined that one amendment was required: see the footer on page 2 of the proposed amended code which is provided as Attachment 1 to Draft Resolution 2018-20 (Exhibit 6-A).
RECOMMENDATION: The Committee should review the amended Conflict of Interest Code and approve Draft Resolution 2018-20.
