VOICEOVER:
The Water Conservation Program includes mandatory installation of water-saving fixtures in homes and businesses and a toilet retrofit and rebate program. Since the installation of the Water Management District’s Water Conservation Program 8,000 low-flow toilets have been replaced. The amount of water saved is equal to a year’s supply of water for 640 homes. Working with the private-sector partners, the Water Management District has funded projects to purify wastewater for use on golf course and other open space. We also offer free landscape irrigation audits, information on water saving technology, and support Cal-Am water rate structures that encourage conservation.
