Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 9:35 AM in the District Conference Room.

Action Items

1.         Receive Minutes of June 6, 2006 and January 23, 2007 Technical Advisory Committee

            On a motion by Langford and second by Matarazzo, the minutes were received on a vote of 5 – 0.

 

2.         Review Preliminary Draft Ordinance No. 128 of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District, Clarifying Terms, Rules and Policies Related to Water Distribution Systems, Water Permits, Water Use Permits, Water Credits, and the Expanded Water Conservation and Standby Rationing Plan

            On a motion by Matarazzo and second by Rick, the committee agreed unanimously on a vote of 5 – 0 to refer the draft ordinance to the Water Demand Committee with no comments.

 

3.         Discuss Procedure Used by Jurisdictions to:  A) Obtain MPWMD Water Permit Prior to Issuance or Amendment of Building Permits; and B) Inform Jurisdiction Staff and Building/Zoning Permit Applicants of District Rule Changes

            The committee reviewed a proposed process for notifying the jurisdictions about rule changes prior to and following Board adoption of the rules.  The committee suggested that fact sheets and examples of District application forms should be forwarded to them as soon as possible before any rule change goes into effect.  There were no comments from the public on this item.
