SUMMARY: Attached as Exhibit 2-A is final draft text for the MPWMD newsletter. This text was submitted for Board review and approval at the December 14, 2009 meeting. If the Committee suggests revisions, an edited version of Exhibit 2-A will be submitted to the Board for their review on December 14, 2009.
At the December 10, 2009 Committee meeting, staff will submit for your review: (1) a chart that illustrates water cutbacks required by the CDO, and the Seaside Basin Watermaster; and (2) a timeline of significant water resources development events.
When the text has been approved by the Committee and Board, final design of the newsletter can be completed, along with the Spanish language translation. If the Committee requests, the final newsletter design could be distributed for review by Committee members before it is submitted for printing and distribution.
RECOMMENDATION: The Committee should review Exhibit 2-A along with the two charts, suggest improvements, and recommend that the Board adopt the text and direct staff to proceed with production of the newsletter.
