SUMMARY:  Two local irrigation classes are scheduled for the Monterey area in February and March 2010.  Pacific Water Management (Bob Costa) will be training on Irrigation Scheduling and Smart Controller Programming, and Low Volume (Drip) Irrigation.  The classes will take place on February 18, 2010, and March 18, 2010, at Rancho Canada Golf Club.  Mr. Costa has presented similar courses locally that were well-attended.  Class size is expected to be 20-30 participants.

MPWMD, California American Water and the Water Awareness Committee of Monterey County will be co-sponsoring the two landscape classes by Pacific Water Management.  The cost to MPWMD is $600, which includes a Spanish interpreter for both classes.  California American Water will be working with Pacific Water Management to market the classes.

RECOMMENDATION:  This item is for information only.  Funding for this training is in the FY 2009-2010 budget and will be approved administratively by the General Manager.
