2.	CONSIDER RECOMMENDATION TO MPWMD BOARD ON REVISION TO COMMITTEE CHARGE REGARDING ELECTION OF CHAIR

SUMMARY: The Charge to the Technical Advisory Committee adopted by the Board of Directors states that the Chair of the committee shall be elected by the members of the TAC. The charge does not specify how often an election should occur. Attached as Exhibit 2-A is the committee charge including a proposed amendment that would establish an election for committee Chair and Vice Chair annually or biennially at the January meeting or the first meeting conducted in the calendar year. If the committee were to support a change to the charge, the recommendation would be forwarded to the Board for consideration at the December 10, 2007 meeting.

RECOMMENDATION: The TAC members should discuss the proposed amendment to the committee charge and decide if elections should be conducted annually or biennially. The recommendation should be forwarded to the Board of Directors for approval.
