SUMMARY: The charge to the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) was amended by the Board of Directors on January 28, 2008, to specify that a committee Chair and Vice Chair shall be elected annually or biannually at the first committee meeting of the year. It would be appropriate for the committee to select a Chair and Vice Chair at the May 6, 2008 meeting, because this is the first meeting of the year since the charge was amended. At the first TAC meeting in 2009, the committee can decide if a new Chair and Vice Chair should be chosen, or if selection should be deferred to 2010.
RECOMMENDATION: The committee should by motion elect a Chair and Vice Chair.
