2.	Review and Recommend a Committee Charge

SUMMARY: At the September 8, 2005 Board Strategic Planning Session, the Board requested each committee review or create a committee “charge.” Attached as Exhibit 2-A is the charge of the Water Demand Committee that the committee approved on July 26, 2000. The charge has not been considered by the Board.

This item was briefly discussed at the October 11, 2005 Water Demand Committee meeting, but action was continued to the next meeting. Staff has proposed changes to Sections 2, 3 and 4 of the 2000 charge for consistency with other Board committee draft charges. These changes are shown in italics and strikeout.

RECOMMENDATION: The committee should review the charge and make edits for review by the Board at its December 12 meeting.
