The Water Management District’s Steelhead Rescue Team has saved a total of 15,105 threatened Steelhead fish through August 2019. That brings the total saved to 452,633 since our program started!
The fish were either released upstream to spawn or brought to our Sleepy Hollow Fish Rearing Facility to mature.
2019 also saw upgrades to the Sleepy Hollow facility as well as the installation of new spawning gravel just below the Los Padres Dam
