Mission Statement The mission of the Monterey Peninsula
Water Management District is to manage, augment and protect water resources
for the benefit of the community and the environment. |

Vision Statement By the year 2005, the Monterey
Peninsula Water Management District will ensure a reliable water supply to
meet present and future needs and be recognized as a leader in integrated
water resource management. |
Included as Exhibit 15-A is a progress report on
completion of strategic planning initiatives developed by the Board at the
January 16, 2002 and February 21, 2002 strategic planning sessions. The District’s mission and vision statements
related to the Strategic Planning Initiatives are shown below. The Board has a Strategic Planning
Session/Special Board Meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 27, 2003.
