SUMMARY: District
staff has developed a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a consultant to conduct a
search to recruit a replacement General Manager. Exhibit 3-A
is a draft RFP, with an attached Time Line. Exhibit 3-B is a list of consultants to whom the RFP
will be sent. Board members are encouraged to submit the names of any
additional consultants they wish to receive the RFP to District staff by
December 14, 2010.
RECOMMENDATION: The Board should review the draft RFP and
provide direction to District staff.
IMPACTS TO STAFF/RESOURCES:
No cost beyond regular staff time.
BACKGROUND: General Manager Darby W. Fuerst has notified the
Board that he will be retiring from the District in the first quarter of 2011. District
staff has been directed to develop a Request for Proposals for a consultant to
conduct the search for a replacement.
